It's War Time!

The update has come and gone, what we are left with is massive attendance in Sky, Dynamis linkshells fighting to get into zones, and Campaign mobs that die as fast as Dynamis mobs do. I haven't had to go Exp yet so I'm really dreading that. So far that is the negative aspects. Positive outlooks include: New people, rare items that the deeper Campaign zones hold that will be cheaper, and we kick Besieged mobs asses. The shouts in whitegate are funny as well.

I have learned a few things since switching to Cerberus. Number one: Inglorion is a douche and is hated by a great majority of the population, both Hades and even more so by the normal Cerberus players. The E-peen combat between the two servers has reached comic status. Both sides have the "We are gonna dominate the other guys" outlook. Which the survival of the fittest will tell in time who stays and goes. With 2 of the bigger Sky Linkshells from Hades, Shields of Valor and Wings of Dragons, on Cerberus now there will be battles. The other thing I learned is that no matter how bleak something looks, Linkshell memebers will strive to make it work. Yes, the leaders have a tough job trying to work though the mess of working with other leaders, but in the end it's the members that go the extra mile to make sure that thier Linkshell survives no matter what the cost. This seems to have become the norm in both ShieldsofValor and Aristocrats. Last night we boasted some of our best numbers for farming than we have had in the past 3 months. On Aristocrats's side it has been the same with 25-30+ people at each run. Maybe this merge wasn't so bad after all. There will be some linkshells that fall, but that is just human nature.

Dynamis-Jueno was scheduled for Tuesday and we took the zone and made it our bitch. We had a great run with 11 AFv2s, included Blm feet witch brings me to 5/5 ^^, and over 700+ in currency that dropped ^^ Very proud moment for the members of Aristocrats to be able to mobilize that fast and get everyone pearled then have a kick ass run. My hats off to the leadership ^^ My only issuse is with the new color of the Linkpearl. I WANTS MY RED PEARL BACK!!! /stare but other than that, I is happy.

Thursday was Kirin day for ShieldsofValor, and I was a tad nervous that there wasn't gonna be a huge amount of warning due to no one having pearls to see the Linkshell message. But again the members came though and we have great turn out for Kirin zerg, which btw we made it go splat even though the fucker slept us before we could get poison pots on us. Drops for both runs included Wlegs,Dbody, and Kirin's Osode X2. Not a bad night if I don't say so myself.

Friday was ZMN with Now or Never and it was another one of those nights that SE said, "lol Dizzmal hasn't died in a few hours, LETS KILL HIM!" and 22K exp later ... my Blm started to whimper a bit. All in all a good night and I made 200K at the cost of 22K exp ... Oh well.

Saturday we did Dynamis-Beacy, ah what a run! 8 Iceland AFv2s and 450+ currency. We ran though the zone so fast that we still had over 45 mins left after clear to go and smack around hydras. I was able to come Blm and had a blast. I can start to see the new starting to wear off on Blm in Dynamis. Gonna have to start seeing more blood with Drk soon so I can get my massive loss of Exp fix.

Sunday I logged on a bit early to farm some organs with Alfster,Miae, and Gooky. Note to self: 4 BLM with addiction to overkilling nukes = kill anything in zone.. I watched Miae pump out a 4.1K AM2 on a open mouthed Goldfish, which ya I know 0.o double damage but that still is over 2K normal damage on a mob. I did a 3.7K but that is still no where close to Miae ; ; damn taru. After Now or Never went to go do Omega. Nine people vs Omega again, We had 1 death right at the end, but still came away with Homam hands and lolhead.. damn you Omega!! give me some LEGS! Still a good night


Monday, the day that my title is named after. WAR! They may not have bombed Pearl Harbor on us but they, i.e they started it(as childish as that sounds.) As the majority of Shields of Valor formed parties @ Despot( The site of the first run in.) We started pulling bigger and bigger pulls. We noticed that they started stealing our mobs. So we, as a respectable Linkshell, put our douche hats on and started stealing their mobs right back. Then of course came the trash talk.. One of them said "IT"S WAR!!" not a bright idea when you are against 18+ higher end players. As soon as one of their pulls went unclaimed I stole that sucker and sure enough, Despot! SoV 1- lolCerberusLS 0. We claimed and got the drop. Then we went out after SteamCleaner, 1 party @ each possible pop zones. Low and behold the LS followed us and got pissed as we started claiming the orbs. SoV2 - Others 0. SC never popped so we went for Diorite and Water. At that point we split up by sending 1 party to Uii, 1 to Nexus, and one to Water. Me being in the BLM party we started off claiming on another linkshell even though they outnumbered us 2-1. We killed much much faster as well. I guess when you get those same blood thirsty BLM in a small room, shit tends to die.. and quickly. After awhile the bigger group Warped out as we were winning the claim war. About 15 mins later another group came in stayed about 20 mins then found the same fate then warped out. Again about 15-20 mins later another shell came up, they outnumbered us about 1.5-1 so it wasn't horrible, but they killed so slow I swear I could catch a nap after they pulled. They were some of the nicer ones though, so that is at least a positive. They were also more stubborn than the other linkshells. We wound up getting a diorite and popping Uii, then proceded to outclaim them for the next 30 mins 15-0. Towards the end of the run they got three claims, so it wasn't a complete loss on their party but still SoV 3-Others 0. Even though they were getting out claimed so badly they still kept a good attitude and made some jokes while we were up there. Made it enjoyable for the most part. I would have still liked more pop items but I guess that is something we will have to deal with as time goes on.


 High points was when Nega died(My favorite) when gooky got pwned by Uii( loltaruHp) and when gooky had a major resist and his AMII only did 400~500 damage. So what if all his others did 1900+, This was still a win for me. Oh and when the Sam from the other Linkshell was dancing with him while we were claiming. That was fun as well.

I still remember my last moment on Hades. I miss my low populated server and the fun time I had on it. This one seems to be ok for the most part, but I'll never forget how I spent my last night on Hades.. Kicking Swordman's ass.

Ready or Not, It's HERE!

Doom is upon us. Like it or not, we are now on Cerberus. Dizzmal(That's me!) and Shields of Valor, transfered with untouched names. A bit of relief off my back, but some weren't so lucky. So far I know of changes from quite a few of my friends. Nega=Negaa, Twist=Atonementsomthing, Jacinda got hit but I'm not sure what her new name was, and that is just the ones that we know that has changed the names. Cerberus ready or not, we are here. My first /sea all was @ 7:35am and I was blown away @ 3600+ people online. This is during the slow NA times. Holy shit, if there isn't a sky shell on our times I will shit a brick. No matter what though, 1 of 2 things will happen. We will continue to do what we do and dominate sky, or we will take a backseat to some of the current sky Linkshells(yeah I don't see that happening.) Either or it's GAME ON time!

I haven't really been playing a whole lot due to little league and getting in some FFXIII when I can. Sunday, the day after the mass killing of my Drk's exp, I did limbus will NoworNever. While one group handled business as normal, the 5 man group in SW had some dying issuses(No it wasn't me this time) and fell just short as we had only 1 elemental left to kill to beat the zone >< If only 1 death wouldn't have happened or the rdm didn't get killed right after he Reraised, we would have had the zone. Oh well, we will get em next time.

Monday was gods day. We took care of business as usual and ended getting good drops. While up there we ran in the new Sky ls, SkyClub. They gathered at Genbu as we were otw up there. My first impressions of them were not what I would call good. They looked very unorganized as their sky times are supposed to start at the same time ours does and they were still building parties after we had already killed 4 gods. But anyway, maybe they will get better or get lost in the massive new population that is Cerberus. While they were getting ready, we went ahead and killed Genbu and among the drops was two A-hands. A-hands tend to be rare in the list, but X2 was amazing ^^. Needless to say, two Blm are now very happy.

Wednesday was limbus, we had a bit of payback on SW zone as we sent two groups at the zone at two different times. Both groups were successful so now we have two Omega runs comming up ^^. Thursday was little league for me while Shields of Valor farmed. They did very well and we took a Linkshell picture afterwards for the last time we were in sky on Hades. /cry

I didn't log back on till Saturday and the only reason I did that was to piss off the wife. She walked in the room and threw me a pillow, Goal accomplished lol. During dynamis I didn't want to be any later than I already was, so I just came as Blm. That was a new experience for me as in the entire time I have been in dynamis, this was a first for BLM. I think overall I did well. I only died three times at the end.(I swear Twist was MPKing me at the end, little shit.)

Sunday was Limbus again, at last a rematch with Omega! Last time the fight went so well till the last 10% then a few missed stuns due to BLM being weakened and splat we wipe at 2% with a low man fight.. That bastard. This time we had about the same amout of people but we had a few job swaps. Fight went smooth all the way though and we ended up winning with about 3 mins left. Neojuggernaut was the winner of Homam legs and Koroki got Homam head. One down, one to go till I'm first in line for the damn legs. The bane of my pld, the one piece that I have been after for the last 2-3 years, but has always been either screwed out of them, or the LS decided to break after a few people got them. Nonetheless, they are within my sights again.

Monday, DAMN update that is taking all damn night! Seth had a baseball game so no huge deal that FFXI was down. I had already updated the game way before the servers were up again. lol30min update, I love my connection!! I remember when I had dial-up it would take 2-4 hours for the same update /wrist. After SE moved the maintainence back the second time, I decided that waiting wasn't for me so I went to bed. Waking up today brought new people, TONs of new people. Now the rebuilding of ShieldsofValor will commence as we find who is left and who has changed their names.

Still Waiting . . . .

Well as of this morning we still don't have an update and most of us is still wondering about when the update will be that throws us on Cerberus. SE made the announcement over two weeks ago and some how we all thought that March 9th was D-day, but we are still here waiting on the date.

Monday March 8th: I have been waiting on this blog due to the sheer size of the post and I wanted to have more than the Brenner match that ShieldsofValor members had on Monday.


As you can see, a bit of Caldar getting raped(He deserved it I assure you.)


 Anyway down to the business! Starting the match off pitted two pretty equal sized teams. The first match went to the team that was the most familar with Brenner(My team ^^) Second round went to the team with the most Plds.Go figure, at least with everyone else, they die fast enough to get the Flamme back. But with Plds they can take your beatings and keep on moving.

My team ended up losing the second match(Damn Plds I'll get YOU!!!) The third match was well played by both teams, and we ended up with a tie. More and more members showed up for the pain, we had around 16 people when it was all said and done ^^. I love big time PvP ^^

It seemed like the entire time Alfster was trying to kill me(Sounds like Dynamis to me). I swear no matter how many times he got to taste my scythe, he came back for more!

Neojuggernaut seemed to dominate a good bit of the time with his War, but every dog has to bite the dirt some time!


The few times I got to fight ally(I tried to keep her on my team as much as I could  lol). I just had to add a little sting in it with the slow death of Bio ^^


Later on Koroki and Nega joined the party and it got even better! Nega decided to kite the Drk and let his pet beat on me... That makes me ANGRY!!! so lol I Drain II his ass

All in all everyone had a good time and was able to kill other Linkshell memebers. Although I am not pictured getting my ass handed to me. It happend alot lol. I think that was the ongoing goal of the other team. "We don't care about winning, we just want to kill Dizzmal!!"

Tuesday was Dynamis Bastok. Great run, almost no deaths and I got BLM pants woot 3/5^^ Was kinda feeling bad after the run so I had an early night to go throw up ; ;(Love the details I know ^^)

Thursday was Sky night. we had a shit load of Byakkos to kill since we got tired of waiting for the update. The first two kills were for buyers. Normally Byakko poses no threat, but for todays run it had a  "See how many Plds can die in one night" mentality. First fight went pretty smooth, no deaths and we got a set of Haidates to drop. Second fight was a bit rougher as kitty went for a Diaga III toTriple attack, to Claw Cyclone on my ass which pretty much made me go splat and leaving Tidis to fend for himself. After a bit of recovering we were able to beat him and got another set of kitty pants to drop. Two happy buyers down, Linkshell fights to go. Now for the next three fights Tidis just seemed to be in the mood to get his ass pwned, either that or Byakko thought that Tidis kicked him when he was just a kitten. Either way Byakko had his number and squashed him during each of the fights. Finally the last fight started and we all started to laugh as Tidis got the red orb of death over his head right when kitty was spawned. Leaving me to solo tank the turd. Oh well, the fight went smooth and we ended up with Byakko's Haidates X3 and Tidis with -2K exp lol.

Saturday the SE gods said " Thou Shall Kill Dizzmal!" So it be said, So it was done....During Dynamis Windy. 22 is a number that I no longer like. 22 times my Dark Knight hit the floor. 22 . Mo#$% Fu#@$ times.... Oh well at least it was fun. I got the BLM hands making me 4/5 Blm Afv2 and was able to be allowed to go exp on DRK before the night was over.. Well done SE, Well done.(Douchebags)

T Minus .. Mass Confusion?

More and more Linkshells are preparing for the DOOM update, but a slight problem has surfaced. No one knows when it will be! When the update was announced,I maybe crazy) but Playonline's site said March 9th. Now the questions start surfacing on when the real update will hit. Now on Playonline' site it gives no specified date of the big switch. Most Linkshell leaders like myself has been planning for this update and have been saving up the pop items for the switch. Now this seems to have thrown a wrench in our plans.

Anyway,on to the order of events. Friday night the wife decided she didn't like me and went into work for more hours. So naturally I was dissapointed (ie.WOOT free game night!!!) I joined the members of NoworNever in a nice ZNM battle. The last time I faced this bastard I was on PLD running for my life as he enjoyed nuking my ass. This time however I was told to come BLM. WOOT! Not often do I get to come Blm to any end game event so I jump at the chance. We get there ready to pop the damn thing and we are dumbfounded( This happens often for Neojuggernaut. lolgalka) as the ??? wasn't there and no one was killing it in the area. After some searching around, we found that a group had pulled it to zone and had been kiting it for the last 2 hours. We offered our help, as we seen that the Mamool was still @ 78%+ hp and we figured we would be waiting all night for the kill. Long story short, we helped them kill it with a few deaths on our part. We spawned our afterwords and took a bit from the previous parties stratagy. We pulled it to zone, then comenced to kicking its ass. Its funny that we have less people, and a whole lot less deaths. We won the battle in about 30 mins and Neo got A legs and Vamp gave me Naglering, a bad ass red Greatsword!! I was a happy camper. Looking at Neo's new pants make me want to get those ugly ass things. +7 acc on a leg piece is just sick.

Saturday, I didn't log on untill dynamis. Aristocrats took on Beacy. We did well, with the only wipe being at the end with a bad pull(I think it was planned by Alf). All in all we had good run with a crap ton of AF that dropped,Including BLM body to me ^^, hence the reason why Alf was trying to kill me the rest of the run. I wish I could have been in the same room when Alf was playing. I imagine it would have been somthing like this: "That damn turd Dizzmal took my damn Blm body, Watch this Lind, SATA DIZZMAL! HAHA!" somthing to that effect.

I just wish SE would make up their mind so we know when we have to move servers. Right now that is pissin me off more than anything else. Good thing tonight I have Linkshell Brenner to work out some of that anger. I am looking forward to having some fun while killing some LS members, mainly Miae.. I want to hear her shriek "Dizz no kill me anymo....@!#"   Gulliotine Splat. Heh I'm sooo looking forward to that! We are also supposed to take a crack at Jormy. Last time I faced off with him, I only had three other friends to go with me. This time I'll take the power of Shields of Valor with me.. I think the outcome will be a tad different this time around.

T Minus 4 days

Four more days till the transfer. It's like waiting for shit to hit the fan. I go to flashbacks to high school and remember when I knew a fight would break out a few classes before break time. You know shit is gonna hit the fan and your just waiting for it. The thing is, I don't know if I really want to see the shit hit the fan this time. I know life must move on, and I know that there will be Linkshells that will get into fights over camping stuff in sky because each shell will fight tooth and nail to survive. On Hades there is only one Linkshell that we are in direct competition with, OnWingsofDragons, and normally we can work out a plan where we miss each other during our runs. Between the two of our shells, we normally kill any new Ls that trys to run during our times by just sheer sizes and claiming ablilites of the both of us. Now on Cerberus, we will have to compete with some Linkshells that has been there for God knows how long. We aren't really looking for a fight, but we will do so to survive and I expect no less with the current shells there in the same time slot.

The more I think about Hades destruction, the more memories I have of the people I have lost during my play time. Orangecrush, One of the nicest people I have ever met. I will always remember her for her kindness and her leadership. She was always someone you could turn to in a time of dispare. Theshadow,Ladymidnight,Godofdeath,Luvaril: Most of the members of Across, my first LS that ever took me in. Most of these have moved on with their lives, but I would not be the player I am today with out the help and the shit that they gave me. Tetsuiga and Swordman, although they still play from time to time, has both moved on to new places in their lifes that I just don't see them like I used to. But most of all, Toprob.The British version of myself. No one has had more of a direct impact on me like Toprob. We spent years duoing and doing storylines lines together. For the time he played, we were stuck at the hip. The deaths, failures, and the good times that we have had has been forever burned into my head. He was the one person I know that knew what I was going to do before I did lol. He is the person I miss the most ; ; Maybe one day that British turd will come back.

Now the run of events. Tuesday was Dynamis. Aristocrats was in full form to take on Dynamis Lord. the tall ass bastard that likes to kick the shit out of you in very little time. AC hasn't really tried him in a long time, but seeing that this would be the last Xarc Dynamis zone that we have before the switch, The leaders decided to give it a try. I however was unable to attend most the run due to a sick son. After he went to bed, the Zerg was on! Now I love my mnk don't get me wrong, but when I need somthing dead fast. Nothing can compete with my Drk Zerg set. The Kraken club(ty OC) and I just rape shit. Well after the Dragons up to DL dropped like flies, Tidis and Twist tanked Ying and Yang. Now for people that have never tanked them, that is a fun event. you are the only thing that can keep the squishy BLM from death. The Blm and Plds(with their support groups) did great and the double dragon combo bit the dust. Time for DL ^^. The last time I faught DL I was on mnk, Although I did good damage, Nothing compared to what I did to DL with the KC Zerg. 13K even though I died about 70% though my zerg I think was a very good showing. Long story short, DL was raped and Dierdren has a shinny new Shadow Mantle. Very proud moment for Aristocrats and a great way to leave Hades.

Wednesday was Limbus night, While Gooky,Miae and I waited for starting time, we decided to kill some Groundskeepers on BLM. I really like BLM right now. We got about 15K exp and on the last pull. Despot spawned. Poor guy didn't know what hit him. I do though. Miae's holy shit cow nukes. She make me sad panda with her new Novio Earring. I think I'm a decent BLM, but when I have to compare to a Taru with great gear, I feel gimp ; ;. I'll just have to work harder. Limbus started and away we went to NW Apolyon. Twist,Miae,Gooky,Vampire and I pretty much equals rape of zone. We cleared it with over 40 mins left in the zone.



Thursday: Sky as usual, Tonight was different for me because I had to take my son to Baseball practice so I was late. Allyrose and Twist took over the shell and lead the LS to a great farming run. So good infact that we were able to call it an early night and get payouts early ^^. Towards the end of the run we had a vote for the last run on what we wanted to do. We chose Ballista!!! Now for the people that don't know, I LOVE ballista. It's just somthing that brings a smile on my face. To me it doesn't matter if I'm kicking ass or getting gangbanged. It's just fun. From the talk in the LS, looks like we got some people that have a bounty on my head. Trash talking soon ensued and I think it will be a very fun event. Shields of Valor's farewell to a server that we will miss dearly. After Alfster,Nega and I went to Sea to farm some organs. Result? lol Nega death ^^


Expect, in the next few days, for me to update this quite frequently in anticipation of the DOOM update.

T minus 7 days

Well I haven't blogged in awhile mostly due to the shock of the announcement of the upcoming dooming of Hades. The server that Dizzmal was born on and has lived on my whole FFXI life. Now we will be forced to change to Cerberus that , according to what I'm reading on the forums, has been home to some of the biggest douchebags on the FFXIAH.com. Wonderful, as if Hades didn't have enough, now we can just add them together and have a super douche party.

On a more positive note, we can recap the events of last week. Monday started off with Gods in sky. It was just one of those runs that went well as far as the performance of the Linkshell, but just wasn't a great night for the other things that happen during the run. I wont go in to much detail but I'll just say that I was glad when Monday night ended.

I didn't log back on till Thursday for Kirin. We decided to do some more kites because we were supposed to have a buyer for W legs. That fell though, so we kill our pop sets. Runs went fine and we killed both Kirin's with out a problem. D Body was our only drop of the night. By far the worst drops SoV has ever gotten. Gooky was able to lot D body and that rounded out our night.

Saturday I hit BLM hard core. Lv75 Blm !!! FINALLY!! woot I'll never have to exp on Blm again!! Oh wait SE says FUCK YOU Dizzmal! Level 99 cap incoming ....... Thanks you douchebags. Bah moving on, Went to dynamis to make sure I lost my fair share of exp on DRK. Hell while I was at it I lost the fair share of about half the LS. lol Saturday I think I died as much as Dynamis mobs did. Good drops for the most part and I got to hear Miae have a orgasm(not really) over vent( By the way my ears are still ringing) when she got Thf Hands. Afterwords I went to do some ZNMs with Vamp and company. We killed some Mamool Ja that was pissed off version of Miae as he chased my ass around nuking me. About 70% though the fight the fucker got me and I went splat. I got the sad sound of a Delevel on my Pld. Next goal, get a buffer on the marshmellow.



Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!! D-day. Well at least the announcement of D-day. Imagine if Japan had made an announcement that they planned on bombing Pearl Harbor a few months before... That's pretty much what happened to the FFXI community when SE announced the update of DOOM!! The two biggest parts of the update that upsets me was: Lv99 cap increasement and that Hades is moving to Cerberus. I'm not looking forward to this. Then they told us that March 9th is when Hades is transfering hence the title of this post. I am trying to recover from this news but the only thing I can think of is RAWWWR!!; ;

Neojuggernaut, Peitha, Brooster, and I went to do some Brenner. Ah pvp, the most hated event in the game to some people. Me on the other hand, I love it. Mono e Mono, kickin ass and taking names. First fight was me and Neo Pld/Rdm vs Pld/Rdm. Was pretty much a stalemate untill Neo's stoneskin broke down. Then it was all Atonement pwning the hell out of him. This was the norm for the rest of the Pld vs Pld. When we changed to Mnk vs Mnk, it was a different story. Neo won that group. Then Pietha and Brooster joined for a little blood. Peitha got the better of Brooster with her Rdm/Nin then turned her attention to Neos, Mnk. First fight went to Pietha, second and third went to Neo. Brooster and I decided to mix it up a bit. I'll be honest, Brooster's War raped my Mnk. I got him once, so I left my mark, but in the end he won the match up. Morel of the story, I'm not that great as Mnk, but I can still hold my own as Pld.

 

Sunday night was Limbus, Finally time for us to take down the Omega! There was 8 of us. Vamp, Neo,Miae,Gooky,DeadflyTwist, Areyss, and myself. The fight started well and we didn't run into a problem till the last 10%. The orb popped and killed Gooky after the first nuke. With gooky down the stun order got screwed and the colossal blows started flying. We got it down to 2% before we wiped. Soo close yet so far, but for our first run it was a great shot with only 8 ppl.

I wasn't feeling great Monday so I took a day off and got some good rest. When I logged on a few of my old friends that I haven't seen in awhile was on. I decided to stalk them to windy to get some costum cakes. I forgot how fun it was to not do events and just play around. I turned into a Taru girl and was playing tag. Yes as gay as that sounds, we had a blast. I got to the point where I started following ppl around and askig to child support lol.. I got some great /stares from people..



That night was time for Sky. With the upcoming DOOM update(my new nickname for the bastardized event) the sacks and I decided to just farm our asses off and stockpile untill we get transfered. The night started well. Our main goal was Diorite and Water. We sent a group to Nexus and one to Uii. Right off the bat I knew it was gonna be one of those nights as OnWingsofDragonl, our only true competition in sky, was heading to both the camps we were heading for. Great, normally when this happens one group gets pissed at the other group and it turns into a dramafest. Tonight was different though, it was like each group had a mutual respect for each other. Maybe this update has everyone on Hades kinda banding together to face the new Cerberus crowd. Or I could just have my hopes up. Both groups claimed a good amount of mobs(I'm pretty sure Wings beat us in claiming at Uii) and we were making jokes on the DOOM update and how we flocked to the mobs as they spawned. I think the luck was with our group because we were able to get 3 Diorites and 2 Waters between the 3 groups. Still no complaining and I got to talk to an old friend, Rivian during the run. We shared some stories of old and basked in the good ole days.

I think as the DOOM update gets closer, I will start to remember more of those stories. I will miss Hades and all the good times that it has held for me. The people that lived and died on Hades, will be forever in my memories.
